Shiner's Flowers

I've made another stop at Pick Your Own Flowers in Kirbyville, this time for Shiner's grave. Hopefully I'll be staying at nearby Yellow House. In the meantime, I'm back at Kojak. I finished the first Poldark book, Ross Poldark. It was good, but I'll be skipping the other thirteen as I'm reading too many other books. Hitting the Leesport Market again tomorrow. The fellow that I bought my wolf goddess pendant from has a Ganesha box that I'm going to have to get. My one dollar brand new denim shorts are off-the-hook, I'll have to get another pair of those off the lady that I bought my Dracula tee shirt from. I have to get another of those as a gift. It's fangtastic. TTYL...

Dreams 6/12

6/12

My first dream took place in a restaurant and starred my brother, Glenn. He had a homemade cauldron of soup.

I went back to sleep, and the dream picked up where it left off. This is rather rare. Dick Van Dyke stole Glenn’s cauldron of soup.

The final dream was really interesting. It took place at an old-fashioned beach resort. I think that I was much younger, perhaps even a teenager. Mummy and Daddy were there as well as another family. There was a fellow, George, with dark hair, who worked there. Nobody liked George, especially not Mummy and Daddy. I had a fishing rod that I’d found abandoned. A lady at the resort told me that I should use it until I could get one of my own. George was fuming mad about getting dissed. A younger boy was teasing me about him. “George?”, he chided. I assured him, “it’s not what you think”. I was about to take him upstairs to explain, but he’d rather, his own “hole” in the broom closet beneath the stairs. That’s when my alarm went off.

Pick Your Own Flowers

As if my job could get any better, I pass lots of wonderful things on my way to and from including Pick Your Own Flowers in Kirbyville. I'll be stopping there often. I should probably find some place for them while working today, or Frankie will surely get them. There are very few places Frankie can't get, and he loves flowers. He ate most of my plants. I only keep cacti and bromeliads in the house besides Norfolk Troll Tree. Frankie tried to climb him his first week here. Lucky, he got his Saint Francis medal stuck on a branch. He doesn't mess with Norfolk anymore. Have to get ready for work. TTYL... 🎕

Crystal Cave & The Ghost & Mrs. Muir

I spend ten percent of my pay in Crystal Cave's fabulous souvenir shop. Glad to finally get a discount. I got this beautiful crystal today along with a beaded cicada that hangs from my rear-view mirror, and a Crystal Cave sticker for Mehitable's, my travel doll, trunk. Mehitable hasn't been there yet, but soon. I'll get pictures. I also picked up more flowers from the seller along the way, coleus for Shiner's grave and an enormous purple petunia hanging basket for the back porch. Kirsten, the girl in the souvenir shop, told me that the lady who sells them has a son who used to work at the cave. I dressed my Gene doll in her new costume, Love's Ghost, based on The Ghost and Mrs. Muir. I love that book, film, and series. My Gene, Daughter of the Nile, was an old valentine, so these duds suit her. I've never changed her clothes. I sold my other two but still have the trunk and lots of outfits. I'll probably score her some more. I stopped caring for her "creator", Mel Odom, years ago when I saw his commie fakebook posts and how he'd prefer The Pony Hexpress to Space Camp. Spare me.

From Ross Poldark

"she had a store of nervous energy, unavailable at ordinary times but able to serve her in sudden need. It was a fundamental reserve which a stronger person might never know."

"If death could come quietly and peacefully she would accept it, would sink into it as one sank into a bed only wanting sleep and self-forgetfulness."

Starlight

Yes, I still play flutter Starlight even though I deleted my fakebook account. Yes, I miss my moth peeps. 💕🦋💕 No, I do not miss fakebook or any other psycho media. My life is far less stressful, and I am much more creative without all the psycho 💩. Since I play on my tablet I have not been able to update. As far as I know I have collected all of the moths and flora. Yes, I miss the events, no, I do not want a phone. I just ordered a big luna moth sticker from Runaway for my sticker collection since they are having a summer sale. I do want the journal, but have three blank journals still to get to, so later with that. 🐜💮🐜

WWII Weekend

Ike has been getting around this year. Ron and I also had fun as usual at WWII Weekend up the road at the airport, The Mid Atlantic Air Museum. I got some fabulous authentic WWII souvenirs too. The mermaid patch is a liberty cuff. They were inside the sailors' cuffs. When they were off duty they would roll their cuff up revealing the siren. I'm going to frame her and hang her on the wall. The bitty paratrooper is a German "pin". Children sold them to raise money for the soldiers' winter coats. I lost my yellow flower Ron got me from the French village, so he got me two more purple ones. I've got six now. Afterwards we watched one of my favorite films from 1945 Scarlet Street, starring Joan Bennett and Edward G. Robinson. I love those two. Then we went to a diner where I had disco fries. I had an orange float and a pretzel at WWII Weekend. Oh, I almost forgot the addition to my sticker collection. Schultz is another childhood favorite. Ron had got me the crochet grape doily there years ago, another thing I've admired since childhood. This is the first time we went after hours: much cooler and less crowded. Good times.

A Peony for Lennox

Lennox gets the first peony because he is getting medicated for his third bout of Ick. He'll be alright. I catch it very fast with him because he is so black. He had two white spots on his face yesterday afternoon. They are gone, but he will still get two more treatments and a water change on Monday. I love Lennox. Julius says hello too. 💮

Potpourri and Fragrant Crafts

Ron had gotten me Betsy Williams's Are There Fairies in the Bottom of Your Garden? from the witch at The Green Dragon that he buys me incense and candles from. The fabulous crystal rock hound sells specimens directly across from her. I'd bought a beautiful twin crystal from him, but Ron had gotten me a cherry quartz jaspar wand from him as well as carved animals. I had read the darling little booklet to him on the way to The William Penn Inn, which is a bit of a haul. We were so impressed that our private Beltane celebration will be the best ever this year. I also went looking for more of Betsy's work. She's a real herbalist in a world of fakes. My Grandma had a bookshelf full of Reader's Digest books, they were all the rage back in the day when people were real. I have only just started this book, but I love it already. I am sure that it will bring me joy for years to come, not to mention the gifts from my garden and walks to my favorite Peeps.

Incoming! Nightmares!

Yeah, this one won't wait for Dana's Dreams Two!

11/21

Very scary morning for nightmares: first, I was in New Orleans with my old college roommate, Kelly. We were just walking the streets one evening when we witnessed a robbery. After that the goons were after us. We were about to receive some police protection when the one detective, an older man in a white suit, took a spill and dropped his tiny silver revolver. After that we were on the run and on our own. We ducked into a strange white building with a big glass front window. We were hiding here awhile, (I have no idea what the place was, and there weren’t any good hiding spaces), when we were spotted, and I lost Kelly. I ran into another place that was dimly lit. There were four huge pots of cold soup. There was another woman there, and I asked if we could hide in the pots. She said we could, and we climbed in. I was hiding in an enormous pot of thick, warm, gumbo when I awoke covered in sweat and had to change my Frog and Toad sweatshirt where Toad wants to take it easy and stay in bed.

It got worse from there. Mummy and I were walking the far perimeter of Clover Crest, Houston Drive, only it was more wooded and had a running stream. I spotted what looked like a huge spotted salamander big as a Gila Monster. It rose up on two legs and came towards us. It was very slick and had a cavity between its legs. I picked up a long sharp stick and speared it in the cavity. That’s when to our horror it changed into our neighbor, Chris Birchin, who I dumped into the stream. I was feeling very guilty as if I had murdered Chris as we started down the hill, home. Just then a beautiful woman, at least eight feet tall, in a flowing peach gown, with long soft brown curls and fangs came up on us. We were polite, but I was scared. Mummy was holding Shiner, the Jack Russell, and telling the woman, “We love him very much”. As we left her Mummy warned me not to leave Shiner out unattended as she did not trust the giant. Then I passed some Rose of Sharon shrubs that were hung with little lanterns decorated with glittering puffy stickers depicting old-fashioned girls with long auburn hair. One of these came to life and stood before me. I followed the girl into a sparsely furnished white room where a small crowd had gathered around a tall young shirtless man. The girl said something about Jesus, as I see in my dream notebook, something like, “So help me, Jesus,” climbed unto the boy, and the two of them sprang into a dark vine with curling tendrils that grew before my eyes. You would see them, the girl and boy, pop up at the end of one of the tendrils, like a bud, only a couple of inches high, then reappear on another. This is when I woke for the second time and jotted down the notes. This is one of my scariest nightmares. I hope to use both of them, somehow, in Fanging with Claude.

Dreams 8/23

Dreamed I was staying in a hotel with my grade-school girlfriend and either her brother or her friend, can't recall which. I also don't remember his name although it might've been Buddy. Laurie was bigger and had short dark hair like when we were girls. Buddy was an adult, big and chubby with brown hair and Down's syndrome, I'd guess. I was sleeping on the floor in my room in a heap of clothes when Paris from Gilmore Girls came in. She had very long hair. She told me I had to have Buddy at a certain location at a certain time: fourth floor, two o'clock, I think. Laurie dropped Buddy off with me, and we proceeded through the corridors of the hotel. It seemed more like a dormitory, stark, and not up to hotel standards. Buddy led the way. Then, in a stairway, Buddy got shot in the back of the neck with what might've been a tranquilizer dart. There was a clean little hole at the nape of his neck which was about the size of a pen, but there was no penetrator present as if it either vanished into him or simply melted away. I dragged his heavy body into the adjoining lobby off of the stairway. There was a bed there, and a receptionist. I left him in the bed and went up the stairs looking for Paris. I found her in a long deep room that was well lit and looked more like a laboratory with sectioned off white cubicles. There were several thin white women, besides Paris, with long hair who were naked and looked greasy and unkempt. Paris approached me, and while I was telling her about Buddy and his location I looked to the right, and there on the floor was a purple and red full term dead siamese twin baby. Moving on I proceeded to search for my room which I knew was on the other side of the building. I came to a landing where two white women were with a black man. The black man had a red plastic knife, very sharp, like a shank, and he stabbed me in the side with it. I began to place a witch's curse upon them, telling them they'd all die. This was very difficult as I was somewhat paralyzed and gasping for breath. It seemed to work, they were scared, and I was psychotic and dragged myself away. I found a woman and asked her how I could get back to the other side and my room. She told me I'd never get back and that I had been stabbed for what I did to Buddy. At this point I was very distressed and forced myself awake.
