Ike has been getting around this year. Ron and I also had fun as usual at WWII Weekend up the road at the airport, The Mid Atlantic Air Museum. I got some fabulous authentic WWII souvenirs too. The mermaid patch is a liberty cuff. They were inside the sailors' cuffs. When they were off duty they would roll their cuff up revealing the siren. I'm going to frame her and hang her on the wall. The bitty paratrooper is a German "pin". Children sold them to raise money for the soldiers' winter coats. I lost my yellow flower Ron got me from the French village, so he got me two more purple ones. I've got six now. Afterwards we watched one of my favorite films from 1945 Scarlet Street, starring Joan Bennett and Edward G. Robinson. I love those two. Then we went to a diner where I had disco fries. I had an orange float and a pretzel at WWII Weekend. Oh, I almost forgot the addition to my sticker collection. Schultz is another childhood favorite. Ron had got me the crochet grape doily there years ago, another thing I've admired since childhood. This is the first time we went after hours: much cooler and less crowded. Good times.

Dreams 7/15
Dreamed I was staying in a big old robber baron's type of house with a library. It was dark, and I wasn't supposed to be there. I crept into the library and changed my clothes into a long red dress with black heels. Then, I left for class. I had a class with Colonel Klink from Hogan's Heroes. It was still dark, and as I crossed the campus I came to the hill where I had grown up. A beautiful girl, Michelle Cicconti, was behind me. She called to me,"Dana, that fire that you and Annie started with the cigarettes burned down a house. I love you, but..." She had a white scarf tied around her dark hair and wore a long buff colored wool coat. I hurried along remembering Annie and I getting out of the car in a windstorm, we were smoking. Now, I was at school, and it was a crowd of bustling students. I couldn't remember where my class was. It was nine-thirty. I must've missed class before because I was thinking I could not miss anymore. I asked a girl where Colonel Klink's class was, and she directed me. He was waiting at the door, but it wasn't the real Klink, rather a shorter more robust man with a ruddier complexion, but in the dream I accepted him as the Colonel. He wore a dark striped suit. I went into the bright classroom that had tables like a science lab and woke up.

Dreams 8/21
Dreamt that Ron and I were in the back of an Irish tavern with Colonel Klink from Hogan's Heroes. We had picked up a couple of boxes. Mine was a small brown box, Ron's was bigger and white. Then, we moved to the front of the bar. We were at the counter for a spell. There was a mirror behind the bar. Then, we proceeded out the front of the tavern which had an entry way between two glass doors. Before opening the second door, I saw Klink outside in his dress uniform and coat. He shot at me through the glass door. I ducked, and he missed. There was a wooden space below the broken glass of the door. We hurried back into the tavern and were on the floor behind the bar where I found a red handled pallet type of knife and pocketed it as my only weapon. Then, we were in a house with a spacious floorplan. The carpet was hunter green, and Shiner was there, hobbling around. Ron asked if we should leave him, and I told him, no, we were taking him with us. I went into the kitchen, which was this kitchen in the real house, moved the trash can, and pulled a small silver pistol from the bottom of the bread drawer. I went into the den, again, this house, and Shiner was there, shitting on the floor. I took a white rag and wiped up some of the wet shit. Klink was back, I surprised him, smeared the shit on the front of his coat, and shot him in the belly all at once before waking.
