Dawn in Vintage Goddess

Donatella's final piece is a real show stopper, Dawn wears Vintage Goddess. Stay tuned for a special doll to complete the collection, the fashion show at Marie's Chateau, and to be the one to score them all.

Dreams 1/8

More dreams: first, dreamt I was living in an old-fashioned wet place, looked like old Alexandria to me. Think I was in college. My high school friend, Janeen, was there. She's well on her way of becoming one of my dream regulars, not sure how that happens. Anyways, we were planning a trip to Germany, and I was thinking if I couldn't make it, Kelly, my real college roommate, could go in my place.

Next dream took place here, only as in dreams, it was somewhat different: same dining room and kitchen, only in the dream, it was an apartment. A black man was living next door. Again, Mummy, Adinda, Ron, and Shiner were there, (more regulars). The neighbor was interested in Adinda and had dropped by. It was Christmas time. Not only wasn't he black, but he had a small daughter who he brought along. He had given Adinda two pairs of pants. Strange, but they were mine: a pair of olive velveteen jeans, and hunter Express ponte pants, I had handed down to her. He also had gifted us some ornaments, only I didn't see them. He was crouched on the floor in the corner, by the cabinets, putting the ornaments, he'd brought, on a little tree when he knocked two of our others off that broke. Mummy was upset about Mrs. Potts. I told her she already had a hole in her anyways. The other was a seashell angel I'd made in art class with my students. I was explaining to him that my art students made ornaments at Christmas to give as gifts as they were broke when his daughter started acting up, and he had to go.

Finally, dreamt there was a bottle of pot in the fridge.

Dreams 1/6

Had a couple of dreams come with the snow. First, a short one: I was sitting at my laptop, here, watching a trippy animation. My friend, Carl, provided the vocalization. It was a bit raspy and dark, and the animated landscape moved across the screen with his voice, quite psychedelic.

Next, I was at the mall where I met a chubby young ginger girl dressed for winter. She was wearing glasses, a big silver and wool hat, a matching metallic puffy coat, and boots. She asked if I'd have pancakes with her. Told her I wasn't the breakfast sort, maybe just toast and coffee, but went along. The restaraunt was spacious and crowded. We sat at a booth, and she crammed in, across from me, looking rather uncomfortable. The woman behind her started talking to us about the south for some reason, notably Savannah, and snakes. Then a big jovial black man sat down next to me. Don't remember how it came up, but I mentioned The Kid Smeller we all suffered, he laughed. He said he liked the ginger girl's kitty boots. They looked like Hello Kitty in space: tall, silver, puffy, with a white cat face in front and a fluffy wool lining exposed at the top. I said she should go on some television game show with those and compete with another girl.

I woke wondering why we're called election deniers, but the commies aren't called election riggers.

Dreams 1/6

Slipped in and out of muddled dreams this morning, most have been forgotten. Recalled last night, for instance, that I'd dreamt that I was coming into the kitchen when Ron told me Mr. Celente was dead. Also dreamt that I bumped a small Kate Bush ink drawing with my shoulder and knocked it off the wall. Ron was annoyed with my clumsiness. Then, that Tim and Ron were in the den. I was sitting in the big stuffed chair and behaving decidedly civil.

Dreams 1/3

Dreamt that I was visiting the darkened apartment of Robert Downey Jr. There was a brunette present, not sure who she was, maybe a housekeeper. I was undergoing some sort of trial or test which began with them laying out two big pieces of dark meat on the cramped kitchen counter. They said I had to prepare the cod just right. It wasn't cod, I called it tripe. Then, we were drinking, maybe, gin cocktails. In the meantime I was sewing a teal lace dress for a young girl. It had some pink roses along the bodice. I asked Robert if he thought it would fit his daughter. He said she was twelve.

Kevin in Wild Man

Kevin has never looked hotter in Wild Man, but at this point Donatella will be lucky to have her collection ready for Valentines...

Dawn Doll Clone

I've got a Glori clone who I prefer to the Dawn dolls as she has a supple easy to dress body with nice legs, no green split knees. All clones are not the same. I saw one at the doll show who had a cheap hollow body like the dollar store Barbie knock-offs. I'd been looking for another like my Glori for some time. I got this one today from Canada, and she's gorgeous with a pale waxy face, long perfect lashes and glossy dark hair. She's not dark eyed Angie, but a blue eyed Dawn. I'm calling her Julie because I got a Christmas card from one of my English girlfriends today too, and this precious little sweater was stuffed inside. I'm going to have to paint another Pippa painting for her now. She has Pippa and Marie, maybe Penny, we'll see. Looks like Donatella's collection will not be ready for New Years afterall, but she's working on it...

Penny is Warm & Fuzzy

Donatella is scrambling to catch-up with Penny Brown in Warm & Fuzzy. She's hoping her Yuletide collection will be ready for the new year. She'll be working with Kevin, next on Wild Man. Stay tuned... I just scored a Canadian collection with a dark haired Dawn clone like my Glori I so enjoy. That set comes along with some clone and handmade clothes besides a Rock Flower that I will be customizing to sell along with the latest collection. Happy Holidays!

Rosemary in Yule Love It

Donatella is working away at her Yuletide Collection, and Rosemary has never looked so festive in Yule Love It. Think we're going to watch Sherazade on the free Marquee TV, (Coppelia wasn't that good), with some Italian white wine, (losing weight cutting back the red wine and cider), and get started on the next piece: Warm & Fuzzy... Stay tuned for Donatella's holiday fashion show at the chateau.

Marie's Chateau

Just picked up a new Lagoona. I am not fond of this new piranha Lagoona. I liked the Aussie. But, I'd gotten a Cleo Skulltimate Secrets locker, who I call Fatra, and am very impressed. I liked the new Lagoona Fearidescent locker, so am really looking forward to a new season of O, My Ra! I've lots of new players besides chompy Lagoona and Fatra like: Elvira, Mistress Dark, teaching Cinematagraphy, Anna Nubis, Sketi Yeti, and Heath Burns.

O, My Ra!

Yes, We're Not Proud got cancelled, but O, Hex! and Doll Pot had also gotten cancelled too: you never really know.

I've no idea what is up with the funky text with this post. I give up.

Svetlana Zakharova and David Hallberg. "Sleeping beauty". Act 1. The Bol...

I was excited to find free Marquee TV this week. I've read and seen most of Shakespeare's plays but found a few that have escaped me. I decided to start with Troilus and Cressida. Didn't have a big problem with a female Odysseus since boys played female roles in Shakespeare's time, but the fact that she was African not Greek or even attempting Greekness put me off. So, tried Cymbeline next. Shut that straight off with the African prince of England. Alright, then, I used to take my students to the ballet since I knew a principal dancer and worked with the director's wife, I got free tickets. I don't think I've ever seen Sleeping Beauty but love the music. Maleficent was a big man, but that's okay, she's a bad faery. It was very good. The women were beautiful, and that dancer in periwinkle with the feathered cap was hot. I'm working with Donatella again for her Yuletide Fashion collection, so decided to try King John. I was joking with a friend that I bet he was black and gay, but he's a woman. I can't hack this woke ass shit. I might go back to making paper flowers with the flaming Alton on the free Craftsy, then. Might as well. And, if that isn't woke enough for you, I've got a gripe about the Next Door app that I got suckered into, too. First post I commented on, I deleted my account. Here's why: a woman had posted that her package had been misdelivered. My response was something like this: The Pony Hexpress misdelivers and steals my packages regularly, this is why I use UPS. I was LIVID with them about five Christmases ago. They were also in on rigging the election; now we all must suffer The Kid Smeller. Right away a window popped up saying kindness matters and that my post looked suspicious. Would I care to edit or rephrase it? No, I would not and deleted that shit. Another thing, same bad fat people with big hair artist that fakebook used to push CONVID. I suspect Next Door to be fakebook infiltrating the neighborhoods. Well, I'm not letting them in my head. I think most of my neighbors are illegal.

Jeannie in Harem Scare 'Em

Jeannie looks alive in Donatella's latest creation, Harem Scare 'Em. This is the second in her Donatella Does Yuletide collection expected by the new year.

Pippa & Marie Doll Case

I want one. I keep my Pips in a Dark Crystal lunch box. I put them in sandwich bags or wrap them in tissue paper. Donatella has Paisley Pajamas in mind, but I'm finishing sculpting a Peggy Shippen doll just now. Stay tuned.

Donatella's Winter Fashion Collection: #1 Glori in Modwinter

There will be another holiday fashion show at the chateau. Dinah moved to Texas saying she couldn't spend another moment in Commievania, so Donatella has taken over her dress shop. She was also lucky to score Peppermint Kiss from her last show that has sold out. Donatella is one groovy girl, though, so it might be alright. Dinah was really a cowgirl at heart. Donatella kicks off her new collection: Donatella Does Yuletide with Glori in Modwinter. Glori is a special doll, and I like her so much that I might try to get one of those seventies Diana Dawn Doll clones if she's anything like her. Obviously, Glori has a Dawn Doll head, but her body is a Hong Kong clone which I like more than Dawn or Pippa dolls. It is very supple, easy to dress, no green, split knees, nor peg legs. Also, it is more realistic looking, curvier, with bigger breasts, hips, and thighs, but she still fits all the clothes. Trying to Return to Marie's Chateau, a lot has happened since we left. Emma and Punch have moved. An entire coven of Darcinians, led by Prince Lucifer, has occupied the chateau. Doll Land and Commievania has become even scarier since preconvidian times. They're trying depose of Bloody Mary, but that's like getting rid of The Kid Smeller. We'll see. In the meantime if you missed out on the last collection: Dinah's Christmas Collection

Woo-hoo! (Dawn Dolls & Pippa) Score!

I'd had a bad week, missing out on a couple of dolls I've wanted for thirty years, and today was even worse, the internet went out, so no Outlander, and I was sick in bed. I played with my Aunt's Dawn dolls as a kid: loved them. I didn't get my first Dress Shop Dawn Doll until a few years ago. Fancy Feet, who I call, Donatella, as no respectable doll has a last name like that, and Kevin soon followed as I only wanted hard leggety dolls; I'm picky, and didn't want any green knees. Around that time I'd discovered Pippa, Palitoy's later seventies version with hard pegged legs and got Marie for under forty dollars. She was, at this time, my most costly, as I'd gotten the others for about twenty bucks, all in like new condition. Decidedly, I liked the Pippa dolls even more than Dawn. Then, awhile ago, just before Christmas, I won a huge astonishing Dawn Doll collection in the big case along with loads of groovy fashions for eighty dollars from the next town over. I get lots of great dolls in Pennsylvania. There were certain fashions that my Aunt had, that were my favorites and I really wanted: Pink Slink, City Slicker, Party Puffery, Maxi Mod, and Strawberry Sundae. I was able to get the rain set, party gown, and Maxi Mod straight away, together, on Ebay from a fun Dawn Doll seller. Pink Slink, my favorite, was acquired at auction, for about twenty dollars from a famous Barbie collector when she passed away. As I was gathering the dolls, I have some English doll friends, like Janey, who have helped me considerably, I was also making clothes, gifting dolls and collections to my Aunt and Best Witches. I like to share, I'm not a greedy person nor a hoarder. Then, I was getting fun collections together with the dolls I didn't want so much, fashions, cases, books, and homemade clothes. I've for sure made my money back this way, selling nice dolls at reasonable prices. Pippa dolls, in particular, are worth their weight in gold, no doubt. My aunt had both the medium and large Dawn Doll cases, and they feature totally mod doll art that I really appreciate. Checkerboard also released some special edition anniversary Dawn Dolls in the nineties, so all good: no green split knees, and I'd scored both Angie and Dale this way who I later sold in collections as decidedly I only wanted to keep vintage dolls. I'd read both Dawn and Pippa books cover to cover. People charge a small fortune for the out of print Dawn Doll book, which I'd scored for about thirty dollars and since sold as a part of a collection that included the coveted Dinah for less than most people charge for the book. These dolls literally sell overnight, and that set was getting all sorts of interest. So glad the lady that scored that set got them as an anti gun commie was after them. Fuck that. So, at this point, my collection was exactly where I wanted it: eleven dolls: five Dawn dolls and six Pips, all in pristine condition, but that Strawberry Sundae, common outfit, and pink poodle still alluded me. I have the black and white dogs, kept them along with the big Dawn Doll case that held that eighty dollar Christmas score. Sold the small and medium cases with the collections that are such fun putting together. I'd made lots of offers and lost many an auction trying for Strawberry Sundae as I wasn't willing to pay so much. I might be batshit doll cra-cra, but I'm not stupid. Wouldn't you know, I've scored this entire fashion collection for less than the price that people were turning down my offers for Strawberry Sundae alone: forty-five dollars. I feel very fortunate, and don't particularly even want some of them, such as the beach set that real Dawn Doll collectors go absolutely ape shit over, so stay tuned, I see other collections for sale in my future. No, I no longer fakebook, so if You happen to be one of my doll friends Mess me via danadollsandmagiclee@gmail.com and know that I'm happier trading with loved ones than selling. Only Jasmine, the Asian Pippa, at this point has alluded me because I'm not spending more for a plastic Asian doll than a porcelain antique.
