Dublin Doll Show

We heard about the Dublin Doll Show at The Letitia Penn Doll Club Christmas at The William Penn Inn. Ran into the lady from the club there. Yes, Countess Po' Ass would love to join their club, but The William Penn Inn is quite a haul. I got Penny, a big handmade prim, two autographed Creole Cats books, a beaded Indian chief, an antique baby bonnet, antique lace for my Jennie Wade dolls, and an antique doll recipe book for a grand total of thirty dollars. I got the adorable bromeliad from the Pearl S. Buck house for four dollars. We stopped at Peaceful Valley Park too. Then we had lunch at Country Place. It was a good time.

The Haunted Aquarium

Oh, boy, it's a new year. I couldn't sleep last night and was super crabby this morning. Maybe it was the Jihadi in New Orleans, don't know. I'm sensitive like that. I was messing with Dame Darcy as usual over the Yellow Snow. I was really thankful for Isabelle Red Riding Hood, I can tell you. Anyway, I've been really into cleaning and exercising lately. Ron is ruining it with pizza, but you'll have that. Don't know why all I want to do is write. Free Great Courses this week which I love. Watched prehistoric Ireland and the southern American colonies, both were good, but I can't watch television. After finishing Fanging with Claude that was totally a happy accident, I'm supposed to be working on my Gettysburg game, dressing a Helen Kish doll as a Native American to sell, and painting What We Do in the Shadows paper dolls. All of these were put off due to Fanging with Claude. I'm so moody. The Haunted Aquarium, a childrens' book, is likely to beat them all. I've been drawing and painting birds and fish since I was a kid, I'm a natural. The Haunted Aquarium is going to be about Julius moving into Vishnu's haunted aquarium. I bet Frankie will have a part. So, Happy New Year! That's what's up. Nosferatu was my last Christmas gift from Ron. The acting is superb. Beware the Yellow Snow. Mummy wanted to name me Snow, but Daddy said I'd grow up to be a drug dealing stripper. I was stalked by an owner of a strip club in New Orleans who obviosly had syphilis in the family. No fooling me. Ron took me back to Ephrata Cloister the other night. I got a cd of American music (1586-1998): The Songs of the Turtle Dove, a turtle dove enamel pin, and a bird fraktur talking about love. No wonder the vampire LeSnot was made there. ☮, no, Really.

Fanging with Claude

Just in time for Christmas Fanging with Claude is now available in all formats. Starting in New Orleans during The Civil War, on to Pittsburgh in the 1970s,  Fanging with Claude is the musical, satirical, memoir of a humble vampire from the bayou. See how he deals with maniacal Yankees, whores, and monkeyballers. His only joy is his constant companion, the Capuchin monkey, Claude. You will meet LeSnot DuRon, Angeline Delphine, Faery Badclaw, Atahualpa, and so many more. All the fun with the blood and gore. It is Dewey Lufac's response to a woke ass world.

Incoming! Nightmares!

Yeah, this one won't wait for Dana's Dreams Two!

11/21

Very scary morning for nightmares: first, I was in New Orleans with my old college roommate, Kelly. We were just walking the streets one evening when we witnessed a robbery. After that the goons were after us. We were about to receive some police protection when the one detective, an older man in a white suit, took a spill and dropped his tiny silver revolver. After that we were on the run and on our own. We ducked into a strange white building with a big glass front window. We were hiding here awhile, (I have no idea what the place was, and there weren’t any good hiding spaces), when we were spotted, and I lost Kelly. I ran into another place that was dimly lit. There were four huge pots of cold soup. There was another woman there, and I asked if we could hide in the pots. She said we could, and we climbed in. I was hiding in an enormous pot of thick, warm, gumbo when I awoke covered in sweat and had to change my Frog and Toad sweatshirt where Toad wants to take it easy and stay in bed.

It got worse from there. Mummy and I were walking the far perimeter of Clover Crest, Houston Drive, only it was more wooded and had a running stream. I spotted what looked like a huge spotted salamander big as a Gila Monster. It rose up on two legs and came towards us. It was very slick and had a cavity between its legs. I picked up a long sharp stick and speared it in the cavity. That’s when to our horror it changed into our neighbor, Chris Birchin, who I dumped into the stream. I was feeling very guilty as if I had murdered Chris as we started down the hill, home. Just then a beautiful woman, at least eight feet tall, in a flowing peach gown, with long soft brown curls and fangs came up on us. We were polite, but I was scared. Mummy was holding Shiner, the Jack Russell, and telling the woman, “We love him very much”. As we left her Mummy warned me not to leave Shiner out unattended as she did not trust the giant. Then I passed some Rose of Sharon shrubs that were hung with little lanterns decorated with glittering puffy stickers depicting old-fashioned girls with long auburn hair. One of these came to life and stood before me. I followed the girl into a sparsely furnished white room where a small crowd had gathered around a tall young shirtless man. The girl said something about Jesus, as I see in my dream notebook, something like, “So help me, Jesus,” climbed unto the boy, and the two of them sprang into a dark vine with curling tendrils that grew before my eyes. You would see them, the girl and boy, pop up at the end of one of the tendrils, like a bud, only a couple of inches high, then reappear on another. This is when I woke for the second time and jotted down the notes. This is one of my scariest nightmares. I hope to use both of them, somehow, in Fanging with Claude

Jelly Roll Morton - The Pearls (1988)

More inspiration for Fanging with Claude. Up to page eighty, I'm having a ball. I used to have this cd. Bought it on a trip to Volant with Mummy and her girlfriend Sandy when I was in college as an undergrad. It's fab. ♯ Bought my Handel boxed set in the same store as well as a small violin that I sold along with a doll, Cricket, who now resides in New Zealand. He was inspired by a Lenci I saw at auction. Speaking of which, I can't locate Klink's violin or swagger stick for O, My Ra! The set is decorated for Halloween, I'm getting there. I 💗 Enid Sinclair, so glad I scored her. Her claws and shoes are fangtastic.

Dreams 9/29

I slept all day and woke up thinking it was morning. I have forgotten the first dream which might've taken place in a swamp. I remember at least half of the second, and it's a real humdinger, worthy of Fanging with Claude

I believe it took place in a bright colorful New Orleans casino. My tour guide was none other than Marie Laveau, a light skinned black woman with a buzz cut. There was all sorts of candy for sale including big gum drop crowns that were about a foot tall and an inch thick. They came encased in plastic on a cardboard card in yellow, green, or purple. There were candy skeletons too, all laid out on a table. There was a black man who reminded me of Samuel L. Jackson dressed in an expensive suit. He was accompanied by another man. They were stalking me, maybe; I have forgotten some of the details. They went downstairs to a purple sunken rectangular pool. I could see them from a stainless steel balcony. There was an inanimate black man resting at the bottom of the pool. I bought a candy skeleton with a top hat. He had colorful garlands around his neck and came in a long cardboard box. He was about nine inches long. I went back to the balcony and gazed down at the two men that had their hands upon the swirling waters of the pool. I intentionally dropped the skeleton into the pool which caused a sort of stir and pop. Marie grabbed me, she was very happy. "Good! Three at once," she said. I went upstairs. The walls were painted beige and white with niches like a church for shrines. I climbed into a sort of dumbwaiter. The swing doors were lined with latches. I managed to lock two or three and was sitting crouched when I started my descent. The doors became lit, lime green, and I could see the silhouettes of angry little naked green demons with pointed ears and fangs flying at the doors like insects. There must've been  nine of them. I wasn't scared and hexed them. I said something about my green eyes blazing through them. I looked to my right and there was a blonde girl selling candy. I remembered Marie telling me the yellow crowns were lucky. There was a long shelf with all of the candy. I asked the girl for a gold crown. She seemed hesitant at first as if she could not differentiate between the colors. Finally, she handed me the yellow one. I opened it and stuck it on my head. It was only flat and one-dimensional, so I had to hold it in place. Now, Marie opened the door on my hatch. She was very pleased. I saw my old college roommate, Kelly. She was dressed in white short shorts with a matching bolero jacket and yellow and white feather boa. Her hair was very long and she wore sunglasses. She looked great, stunning. She wore white platform shoes, the heels lit up yellow like a traffic light as she walked down a carpeted hallway towards an elevator. She made a right and sat down on a nightstand that was piled high with mementos like pictures, books, and other things we gather through life. She crossed her legs and smiled at me. Marie sat me down next to her on my own nightstand. A few pictures and papers in, I could discern my mural from my first trip to New Orleans. The Voo-doo priestess who whispered in my ear that I could dance was there, shaking her finger at me with a mischievous smile. We were being auctioned off. A drag queen in a tight red sequined gown, a platinum wig, and scarlet lipstick was drinking champagne and laughed. A big lesbo with a dark buzz cut bought me. She was dressed like a goth, her clothes were too small. She asked if I'd be her friend. Then, a gorgeous blonde, dressed in a silver cropped top and shorts set with wedged matching sandals and a headpiece grabbed me by the arm and pulled me into another different sort of dumbwaiter/elevator. It had glass egg like sides, we were going down, sitting, again. She had her long leg pulled up under her and her right leg was bent at the knee in a model like position.  I told her I wasn’t a lesbo. She laughed and said she wasn’t either. We arrived at another candy stand, and I got a red gumdrop bar that had a small square of goo in the upper right hand corner that I began to suck. Marie was back and she said, "That's right, suck! She's going to be a very powerful Voo-doo princess!" I forced myself to wake so as not to forget.

The Life After Death Project 1 | Documentary | Full Movie

Free Docudrama this week watched a super film on Zydeco that inspired Fanging with Claude. I've made it to chapter ten, Lancaster. Watched this, it was fascinating. I have that FATE magazine somewhere... Starting the Incas, more inspiration for Fanging with Claude...

It's Official

I'm working on Reading Cemetery, quite frankly it puts Lancaster and Lafayette to shame. Don't believe the hype, Jim Morrison. Speaking of which, it's official, Barbie has finally gone stark raving mad and flat out hideous. 🤣

Crescent City Soul - The Sound Of New Orleans 1947-1974

It's the day that the lights went out in Reading! Angry! Went out to dinner with friends since the lights went out, but the commies totes reworked my stuff while I was gone: Taylor Swift and monkeyball! Spare me! 😠 Gave it all 👎, not visually appealing! Gag me! Have a Happy Mardi Gras!
