My Link Tree

I found Link Tree by accident through flutter Starlight. Yes, I still play; in fact, I just ordered a moth journal through Runaway. All of the proceeds benefit the Rainforest Trust, and I love my big luna moth sticker from them. I was trying to play their new word game when I found them on Link Tree. It is a place to gather multiple links which works for me, a chaos queen.

Sir Beltane, Sir Napsalot, & Mr. Magnolia

The fairy cakes and Ron's fairy house are gone. Sir Beltane is mine. Sir Napsalot is Ron's since I sleep all day because he won't let me have a puppy. Mr. Magnolia stayed in the tree. Ron said it rained twice while I was sleeping, but these fellows stayed dry beneath the tree while I waited for their Super Glue to dry. Their faces are done with Sharpies, and they have a couple of coats of varnish all around. Ron had drilled holes in the nuts for me, and I wired them with pipecleaners. I am not selling them due to fragility, but they are a fun craft for kids while they are learning about trees. I like trees and puppies way more than people. I am working on my first Jennie Wade doll for the Jennie Wade House in Gettysburg. I am making two sizes: ten inch and dollhouse size. I probably won't get back there in awhile as my next plans are for The 1777 Americana Inn in Ephrata. I want to stay in the Garden Room. TTYL... 🎕

From The Mallen Lot

I try to make the best of things. Best thing about being without electricity due to the WIND the past couple of days is I quit drinking as it was turning me into Mummy. Second best thing is that I finished Catherine Cookson's Mallen series. It was so good. I've got a lot of quotes to share from The Mallen Lot. Catherine did not drink as her mother was an alcoholic. Funny that I'm finishing The Tenant of Wildfell Hall by Anne Bronte' and Brooke Shields's There Was a Little Girl too as they are both about alcoholics.

"Ruthie had a saying that God was good and the devil wasn't bad to his own. Well the devil she knew and the devil he knew must be running two different establishments because the gentleman over there had been less than kind"

"How was it that no mistress, and not even the prospect of a wife, a beloved wife, could fill the void in a man who had craved mother love all his life?'

"The world had been created by a madman; God was a madman; no reasonable thing or power would create torture for no purpose. The experiences of the past months, the chaos in which the world was drowning was not, to his mind, the result of either a country's greed, or the ambition of nations; politicians of their own volition could not, he reasoned now, create such havoc, for the human mind could and would think, dissect, reason and then act in the end to preserve its own survival. No, there was a malevolent power, a mad God playing with the universe, and he was so powerful, so indiscriminate he directed his attention equally to families as to nations; he inflicted special torture..."

"And from then, daily, without let up, she had prayed that something would happen to that sperm of hell, because that's all she was, that's all she had ever been, she had come from a hell raiser, and a line of hell raisers, and she had been a she-devil ever since."

"no one actually pitied Lawrence, for you couuldn't pity someone, no matter how mentally crippled, who continually emanated happiness; in fact the wise among them envied him his state."

"Love is a terrible thing, Dan. No one should ever say that love is beautiful, it's a crucifixion."

"There was something building up inside her that was frightening her. It had been growing with the years, but since Christmas it had become like a great live thing gnawing at the inside of both her body and mind, and she was afraid of it, afraid that something would happen to cause it to break out."

"Well, he's dead, and as I see it there's nothing so dead as death; it's final, it's finished. And I'm as much against those who spend the rest of their lives weeping over the dead as I'm against those who make saints out of sinners once they are dead."

"She was born to create trouble; as sure as the sparks fly upwards. Some people are made like that. Barbara was poison to everyone she touched."

I also have two more musical satires like Fanging with Claude in mind: DOC (Doc Holliday) and IKE (Eisenhower). I might've found my niche. Both will likely begin with cover portraits, we'll see... TTYL... ✨

Potpourri and Fragrant Crafts

Ron had gotten me Betsy Williams's Are There Fairies in the Bottom of Your Garden? from the witch at The Green Dragon that he buys me incense and candles from. The fabulous crystal rock hound sells specimens directly across from her. I'd bought a beautiful twin crystal from him, but Ron had gotten me a cherry quartz jaspar wand from him as well as carved animals. I had read the darling little booklet to him on the way to The William Penn Inn, which is a bit of a haul. We were so impressed that our private Beltane celebration will be the best ever this year. I also went looking for more of Betsy's work. She's a real herbalist in a world of fakes. My Grandma had a bookshelf full of Reader's Digest books, they were all the rage back in the day when people were real. I have only just started this book, but I love it already. I am sure that it will bring me joy for years to come, not to mention the gifts from my garden and walks to my favorite Peeps.

Christmas at Cornwall Furnace

It was another fabulous holiday starting at Cornwall Iron Furnace (1742). They have yummy homemade cookies, cocoa, and Christmas tea. Last year it was so warm that we walked about the town, but today was cold; and although Mummy's Ewok coat is warm, the Christmas pants Theresa sent me several years ago aren't. I'm just happy they still fit as I wash everything in hot water and put it in the dryer. I have to fit into my handmade green velvet from the seventies for the Shoenhut gig at The William Penn next week that I've only worn to see Loreena McKennitt, so looks like I'll be fasting this week. Didn't happen today, afterwards we went to The Bluebird Inn (1859). I had a Merry Cranberry house cocktail served in an ornament that was off the hook, and their chili puts Trooper Thorn's to shame: all so good. They crumble cornbread on top. I'm going to have to remember that. I got videos of the fabulous trains, but I'm having technical difficulties uploading them. I'll keep trying. My beautiful Christmas cactus is blooming too. Frankie was a very good boy and napped with me when we got back. 🎄

Dreams 10/10

I had three dreams, but the third has been lost to the ether. First, I was working in a department store with a tall blonde woman and two dark haired guys. We were wearing blue smocks. I was standing on a strange wooden stand that was something between a church pew and a music stand. The blonde was standing next to me. We were looking for something. I was on the ground and picked up a large polyglot crystal. It might've been rainbow or peacock obsidian. It was midnight blue with iridescent hues and shone like glass. I wanted it, I think, and asked one of the men the price. I think it was around seventy-nine dollars which wasn't bad considering the size and weight of it.

Next I was in something like Mummy's kitchen but it was different. Theresa and a boy were with me as well as Johnny ferret. There was a mossy little hole, very soft and green. I had stepped away for a minute and Johnny had vanished down the hole. I was upset with Theresa for allowing it to happen. I was looking for Johnny and calling him. Ron came in and asked what I was looking for. I told him Johnny ferret, and he asked what a ferret was. I explained to him that it was something like a weasel. Then, I noticed it was not a hole at all rather a pipe and that Johnny never could have fit through it. I found Johnny, was very grateful, and was holding and snuggling him. Wish I could remember the third dream, it wasn't bad.

Dreams 8/30

Dreamed I was back living with Adinda in a dorm room for the third time this month. This was an entirely different dormitory, older. The room was very long and deep. The lighting wasn't so good, and there were clothes and opened suitcases all over, not very homey. Adinda had gone back to Holland for a day, and when she did not return I grew very worried. I reported her disappearance to a young woman with short sandy colored hair. I told her it wasn't like her. If she had planned to stay longer she would've told me.

The Oak

Darling little acorn, perfect and true,
how I adore you.
I'll put you in a pot in the sun,
loving you is fun.
A green sprout, you've started.
Now, I'll plant you beneath my window,
we shall never be parted.
I will climb and hang from your strong branches.
You will watch while I take my chances.
Together we will grow.
Always, I'll love you so.
I know, I'm just a girl,
you are so much wiser than me.
You will house birds and bugs,
I will give you hugs.
Even if I move away,
my love for you will never sway.
You and I are one forever like the winds.
Around you I dance, my true love, widdershins.
My, Oak, if you were only a man and not a tree
oh, how perfect it might be.

More from Bonsai Bob

I thought the chandeliers were original to the three-hundred-and-twenty-something-year-old house, but no. They are from the house where Bob was born that they tore down long ago. The shop was a stop on the Underground Rail Road, but the God forsaken government wants to tear it down for the road. 😡 I left some homemade a'pizza for Bob. Ron also got me a burro's tail that I've wanted my entire life. I've named him Fabian since Bob opened for him, The Beach Boys, and The Yard Birds. There was one in Vincent Science Hall where we went to school. Annie and Jay got a couple of plants from Bob too as well as a couple of bags of his bonsai mix. God bless Bob Mutschler, what a treasure. 🎕

Dreams 5/11

I dreamed I was standing on a balcony with my two ex-sister-in-laws looking down on a cobblestone courtyard. My ex was at a door with a woman with dirty blonde hair, she wore a tea length dress with a pink feather boa. He was kissing her, and my ex-sister-in-law yelled, "Ew!" There was another woman down there, to the right, seated at a cast iron garden table. She looked up and said. "That's why I never went out with him. I knew that would happen."
