Summer Harvest

  There are as many little ones still on the vine in both the front and backyard. The fish tank water has produced some monsters, twice as big as any you ever see at the grocery store. This is only my second big gourd harvest ever. I don't know why I don't get them every year. I don't think there are any pumpkins or squash this year either, just gourds. Some of them are so big that I thought they were yellow and spaghetti squash, but they aren't.

Robins at the Bath

The young robin family like spending steamy Sunday mornings at the bath. They are the most frequent visitors being born this past spring outside the laundry room. Our robins stay all winter. They didn't in Pittsburgh, can't blame them, that place is loaded with commies. Other bathers include: redcapped finches, sparrows, wrens, bluejays, catbirds, grackles, doves, goldfinches, woodpeckers, and more. Keep your bath clean and fresh, and you will be charmed with birds looking to cool off.

Caught two beautiful doe at the bird feeder this morning. Must be Comet and Blitzen.
