Lennox

I had taken Frankie's advice only to have forgotten my dream again- gone. It has been a while since I've blogged about my fish. The only good things about this past cruel summer after WWII Weekend were my books and my aquariums. I enjoyed a fabulous healthy happy time with them. We had gone to the Poconos Saturday to eat at The Waterwheel. When I got up that morning everybodies' favorite Paradise Betta the Tetra Killer was dead. He got put in a seashell and placed in the fish cemetery along with Felix and Mars. I moved Julius to his tank as he was outgrowing the frog tank. He seems happier with the three catfish: Oscar, Ector, and Govinda. Tattoo, the esmerald cory cat, in the frog tank is big. I'd been feeling sorry for him being the only cat there and considered moving Oscar back to his original frog tank. He's my oldest fish: I've had him for seventeen months. I expect him to live to be five like my cats I've had in the past. He's just too happy with his Glo cat friends for me to upset, so I got another esmerald for Tat, Rose. They are overjoyed, and it is very pleasing to watch. I had only gone to the pet store to get the catfish plus another Glow Light tetra for Shini. She schools with the neons and black neons in Merlin's cylindrical tank, but Vishnu had eaten her kin: Buddah, Lassit, and Atif before I moved her. I felt sorry for little Shini and picked up Garrish for her. I'm glad I did, and glow tetras are so much fun to watch whirling around a tall tank. I have been wanting a black Betta for a while. I only seem to see them when I don't have the room for them. That's how I got stuck with that murderous bitch Juno, my first and last female. Like Juno Lennox is a Black Orchid. He is small and young, so he fits well with the frogs and cats. I could not resist him. He's gorgeous. They had a White Opal male too. Some day I would like to have one.

Dreams 7/7

This dream took place at a large outdoor summer party. There were picnic tables set up outside. The house seemed to be a small ranch. I think I was pretty young. I was in the house playing when my friends DJ and his wife arrived. DJ had a plastic printed gift bag for me. Inside there was a square glittery sticker book with WOW! on the front cover and a lot of loose Barbie doll clothes. I thanked him. His wife was not the wife I know but a fat green woman with a constant scowl. I was in what might've been a laundry room with some other young boys. I had a small fishtank on a low shelf that was crammed with fish including three large albino cory catfish. Somehow I was transferring the fish from the small tank to a big tank on a top shelf. Above the large tank there was square lattice work that appeared to be woven from jute. There were tiny dwarf frogs climbing there. Now I was on a sun porch talking to some women who might've been gossiping. I think we were eating cake. Anyway, they were talking about my friend Tracey who was at the party. One was talking about Tracey's husband's mistress. She said that he had called it off with her. Another asked what had happened? The gossip said that the mistress had killed herself. Now, Tracey was in the adjoining kitchen looking in a cupboard. Her husband grabbed her and beat her head in against the cupboard door with a fist sized rock as if he was hammering a nail.

I had forgotten my dream from a couple of days ago, but I think it concerned my ex-sister-in-law. These are some of my regular Dream People: DJ, Denise, Tracey, and Karyn. There are others including people I do not know in real life but visit my dreams.

Dreams 9/12

Dreamt that I had a big Chinese looking take-out box of some kind of ready to make food. Not sure if it was pasta or cereal. The box was rectangular, but gathered up to a hexangular top. The printing around it was black and gold with some sort of little character, maybe a panda. I had to insert the package into my fish tank in order to prepare it. When I did my tank overflowed, and an albino cory catfish was beheaded in the process, sliced clean through, which caused me great stress; so I removed the food stuff, which was now coming out from the top, in a rush, looking for the catfish. He was there, in the bottom of the aquarium, fine, but there was still, also a severed head. Dreamt, too, that my clay pot was full of buds.

Hello from the Aquarium

My fish family are healthy and happy. They include Felix, the Betta, Oscar, the albino Cory Cat, and Tom Tom, the little Neon Tetras. Although I'd seen on You Tube that you might keep guppies with Bettas, I'm going to have to call bullshit as usual. Kojak, Telly, and Baby did not make it. I'll tell you something else, they instigated the problems by teasing Felix, picking on him, and swiping his food out from under him. They couldn't have been very smart as Felix is like a tiny dragon. Anyways, later, I've read that the real experts say not to keep guppies with Bettas as they nibble each other's fins. That's an understatement. Anyways, these four seem happy. I've got some plants with them: Anubis, a Java Fern, and a Marimo Moss ball, but I wanted some floaters as I do not care for the Anacharis, I find it messy, and have ordered some little lily like pads and baby's tears. I think they're going to like them.

I've got a little fish cemetery going out in the garden. I cover them with seashells. Felix will not be getting any more guppy treats. Too bad, I have always liked guppies. They never last long. Read that they usually don't make it through a water change, but Telly was very hardy, if not stupid.

Dreams 7/3

Dreamt that I was living in an aquarium with some other fish people when some new ones moved in. The current residents weren't too sure about the newbies.

Felix & Oscar are Home

Little wonder I can't remember my bitty dream last night, free xumo Play this week means we've been watching Hitchcock and Midsomer Murders; but, no matter, Felix and Oscar are home. It took me awhile as I wanted every thing just perfect for them. Ron had won this new color changing aquarium at auction for thirteen dollars some time ago. I had a red Betta in it, but he died, and that really put me off. I've kept fish since childhood and Bettas since junior high. They've always lived three or four years. I've always had red ones named Simon. That last one only lived a couple months, and then I got sick again, so I think I was quite depressed and kept the aquarium in the bottom of the cupboard ever since. This time I moved the aquarium and have been scientific about every little thing, so my Betta would be happy. He picked me. He looked so friendly and had a bubble nest, so I didn't even notice the others, and snatched him up. He's a double tail. His body is actually white, opalescent, and his fins are gorgeous: blue and red. He looks emerald in the pictures, under the white light, but he's not. Oscar, the little matching albino Cory catfish, is kind of spastic, and seems to be going crazy. Felix loves his little temple. I'd ordered a cave, and might switch it up, but the temple seems to be a better hidey spot. Simon used to sit at the bottom of his castle like a dragon. I'm thrilled with my new pets, and they seem ecstatic with their new home.
