Have a Happy Easter!

You might tell I had some help with the eggs this year. My little brother showed up and took me to the Irish pub. He said The DOORS sucked, and that Bauhaus was terrible. The potato salad was all me. He fell asleep in the den to Hop. You see what I put up with. Ron wouldn't even go to the Irish pub. Too bad, I brought him half my food. He won't eat it.

Deriethe's Doll

Good-by

Anila by Annette Himstedt

I first saw Anila some time ago. The lady I'd bought Pauline from had her, and I was so taken with her face I had a hard time deciding whether to get her or Pauline. That lady wanted as much for her as Pauline, and unlike Polly, she did not have her original garb, hairstyle, box or certificate. Anila is from 1999, Polly is from the 2004 Play Street line. I also have her older sister, Liri. These dolls are very limited so bring more money where the older Himmies were produced for a year, meaning there are three times as many, so you see them a lot more often, and they usually command less money. Like all of my Himstedts I am more pleased with her than I ever might've imagined. I didn't think I cared for her clothing so much and thought that I'd want to get her a new silk sari. I was wrong. I wouldn't change a thing about this beautiful doll. Her clothes, like all Himmies clothing, is very well made, and the fabric is posh. Her braids in the back of her gorgeous human hair wig are exquisite. Besides her darling face, and I do not have any, really, that resemble her; although, she makes my tenth, unlike my older dolls, only her bottom is velveteen, like the later, more expensive dolls. The rest is sculpted vinyl. In fact, she might be my most pose-able, because she has a special wire armature for dance. She's such a nice size, too: bigger than the older dolls, but not so large as the 2005 World Dolls like Maniloa, who I call, Ginger. I'm so impressed. I love her. I'm calling her Deva. I was going to put her at the foot of the stairs, but I think I'll save that for an Atlantean, and put Deva in my bed with my elephants. I said I wanted some more Himstedts, and I've scored three since then. I think, one more might do me. No idea how she got here in less than a week from a wonderful bloke across The Pond named Ron. I love UPS, too, but they charge a fortune to ship international over here. Not the case, over there. They're way more reasonable than the God forsaken Pony Hexpress, and they don't steal.

WOW! Thank You!

I got so many birthday cards this year they were cluttering up the card spot. I had to put them around the entry like Christmas. They'll be going into my overloaded album where I keep cards, ticket stubs, programs, and letters from the past few years. I have the most wonderful family and friends.
