Moonshine
Take the wrought iron gate through the moonlight pass,
wander through the primrose, foxglove, and dreams of sassafras.
Knock three times three upon the barred oaken door,
a starry maid in a green mantle will lead you down to the core.
When you hear the piper calling through the dark cave,
they will all appear to you, a revelous, riotous, rave.
Then they will offer their wisdom, a cup of gold,
a rare wine of dandelion, elderberries, and herbs untold.
But, lo, do not drink unless you care to stay,
for there is no end to this spirit, the moonshine of the fae.
